Botox Injections

Neurotoxin injections, also known as botulinum injections, are a cosmetic treatment that temporarily paralyze the muscles that cause wrinkles. The most commonly used are Botox®, Dysport®, and Xeomin®. These injections are most commonly used to smooth out wrinkles on the face, such as crow’s feet and frown lines. The injections work by blocking nerve signals to the injected muscle, causing it to relax and preventing the formation of wrinkles. The effects of the treatment typically last for several months, after which the injections will need to be repeated to maintain the desired results.

Injections & Dermal Fillers

Dermal fillers are injectable cosmetic treatments that are used to add volume and fullness to the skin. They are most commonly used to fill in wrinkles, plump up the lips, and enhance the cheeks. Dermal fillers are made of a variety of materials, including hyaluronic acid, calcium hydroxyapatite, and poly-L-lactic acid. These materials are injected into the skin using a fine needle, and they work by adding volume to the area being treated. The results of a dermal filler treatment can be seen immediately and can last for several months, depending on the type of filler used.

Microneedling

Microneedling is a cosmetic procedure that uses a device with fine needles to create small punctures in the skin. This process is also known as collagen induction therapy. The punctures create micro-injuries in the skin, which triggers the body’s natural healing response. This results in the production of collagen and elastin, which help to improve the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, acne scars, and other skin concerns.

Microneedling can be done with or without the use of topical serums or growth factors. The procedure is done by Dr. Ogbeide and can be done on the face, neck, and body. The needles used can vary in size and there are different types of microneedling devices, some are manual and some are motorized. Recovery time can vary but usually, it doesn’t require more than a few days of redness and minor skin irritation.

NightLase®

Laser Snoring Treatment

NightLase® is a laser treatment for snoring that uses a gentle laser to heat the tissues in the back of the throat, causing them to contract and become tighter. The treatment is typically done in a series of three sessions over a period of several weeks, and the effects can last for several months. It is a non-invasive procedure with minimal discomfort and no downtime.

Hair Loss Treatments

  • HAIRestart® is a laser treatment for hair growth that uses a laser to stimulate the hair follicles, potentially promoting new hair growth and thickening existing hair. The treatment is non-invasive and involves the use of a laser device that is applied to the scalp.
  • PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma) Hair Therapy is a non-surgical, medical treatment that utilizes growth factors found in a person’s own blood, specifically platelets, to stimulate hair growth. The treatment begins with the collection of a small amount of blood from the patient, which is then processed to separate the platelets from the other blood cells. The concentrated platelet-rich plasma (PRP) is then injected into the scalp or applied topically to the areas of the scalp where hair growth is desired.

Botox®

To Treat Teeth Grinding

Botox injections can be used to treat temporomandibular joint disorder (TMJ) symptoms such as pain, tenderness, and muscle spasms. TMJ is a disorder of the jaw joint and surrounding muscles that can cause a variety of symptoms, including pain, difficulty opening and closing the mouth, and a clicking or popping sound when moving the jaw. Botox works by temporarily relaxing the muscles of the jaw, which can help reduce pain and improve the ability to open and close the mouth. Injections are usually given into the masseter muscle and temporalis muscle, which are the main muscles responsible for chewing and moving the jaw.
